“How do you pack 365 days of gratitude into a single week of appreciation? I don’t know. I do know that this field and this company exist on the work done by Direct Support Professionals; life and job coaches, mentors and others that somehow support clients on any given day at home, in the community or on the job.. Some of us in other positions who either never provided direct support or did it so long ago only remember the fun parts, not the day-to-day stress and expectations that follow these positions. I hope you know that we understand these jobs get more complicated every year and we should acknowledge and praise the efforts more often.
Take pride in what you accomplish every day and know we/I really do understand the critical role you all play and appreciate it every week, day, and hour.
