Core Value Spotlight

Congrats, Robert T.! From our Executive Director: "I’m surprised that I couldn’t find record of this occurring before because this month’s core value spotlight  belongs to Robert T.  He’s regularly going the extra mile for our clients.  This time was a great example of interdepartmental observation of Robert’s attention to the core values as the nomination came from Kayla Almasy from our Employment Services department. We will make sure Robert gets his “frameable” certificate and a gift card from a local grocery store."

Another successful event! This is our second year holding a miniature golf tournament that happens right on site at the Assets' main office.  Employees and customers designed 9 holes that were located from one end of the building to the other.  15 teams of two participated!  Following the play, all teams gathered for raffle drawings and to find out the winners!  There were so many items for the raffle thanks to Kayla A. seeking donations from local businesses that almost every participant won an item. This year's winners are Marti Romero and Ben Williams! Congratulations! They each received a trophy that they have proudly displayed in their offices. Cuong Vo and Vicente Molina, members of our Contracts Department, generously cooked up some delicious BBQ.  Thank you to Alexandra Gerlt for bring in some homemade baked goods!  It was a great time had by all!  Mother nature played nice and provided us with excellent weather!

From our Executive Director, Matt Jones I love to share employee of the month recipients, but I REALLY love to share them when the award is initiated by a family. Shafron Fritz is April’s Employee of the Month.  The mother of a supported employee shared that her son “has just taken off with Shafron’s support. She has helped him blossom at work and home and we couldn’t be more grateful.”   I can’t add anything that beats those accolades. !!!

Daniel Benesen-Enriquez (Dennis) is our March Employee of the Month.  George Saunders, Diversified Services Manager, provided a strong nomination for Daniel.  He related how Daniel worked “neck deep” with all employees stocking, snow removal, janitorial tasks and keeping up with day-to-day operations during   a challenging time at the commissary.

Daniel earned a promotion during those tough times and immediately adapted to the new role by setting an example to employees and engaging his talents in defusing frustrations felt by employees.
